Getting started
Book before you build.
- Book your session online at our booking page.
- Email your 3D print STL files to 3D@teaupungao.com.
- The room runs on bookings, so we’re not able to take walk-ins.
- Need to reschedule? Give us at least 24 hours’ notice.
- Check in with our team when you arrive and we’ll get you set up.

Not to get started — basic training is provided for first-time users. Once you’re comfortable, you can book and work independently.
Members, ecosystem partners, and the wider community are all welcome. A booking is required for everyone.
Everything from everyday PLA and PETG to engineering materials like Nylon, Polycarbonate, and PA6-CF. The material pricing table above lists the full range and per-gram cost.
Submit your STL file and we’ll send a cost estimate. Final pricing is based on actual material use and print time.
House rules
Before you start.
A few house rules keep the space safe, fair, and ready for the next maker.
- Have a read of the Prototyping Policy & Procedures before your first booking.
- You’ll get a print cost estimate when you submit. Final pricing follows actual material use and print time.
- Bring your own storage for scanned files. We don’t keep your data.
- Wear PPE where it’s marked.
- Leave benches and tools clean and working for the next maker.
- Damage from misuse may lead to repair fees or restricted access.
- Collect finished prints within seven days. Unclaimed prints become Te Au Pūngao property after that.
